S-FRAME Software Inc., developer of structural engineering software solutions used by Structural and Civil Engineering Professionals worldwide, announced the introduction of a new product offering called S-FOUNDATION Design. With this announcement, the R11 Structural Office portfolio expands to 8 components.
S-FOUNDATION Design is a comprehensive analysis, design and detailing tool for both complex and simple foundation applications. It provides the engineer the ability to quickly define and edit Isolated, Combined, Continuous, Wall, and Strap Footings, as well as Mat and Pile Foundations, all in a parametric modeling environment. As the footings and foundations are created by the engineer, S-FOUNDATION automatically generates and manages an underlying FEA model. S-FOUNDATION designs to multiple country codes, performs finite element analysis and utilizes the powerful S-CALC and S-CONCRETE engines.
S-FOUNDATION Design can be used as a stand-alone application, but it is also completely integrated within S-FRAME Analysis for a detailed study of soil-structure interaction. As with other R11 S-FRAME Software offerings, S-FOUNDATION includes powerful BIM/CAD links, advanced 3D model visualization, comprehensive PDF and MS Excel reports, and customization or automation using open .NET API and Python scripting. S-FOUNDATION Design supports ACI, CSA, and EC2 concrete design codes.
S-FOUNDATION Design is scheduled for release in the third quarter of 2013.
